Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour

Job Summary: Provide vocabulary and concept interpretation as related to content curriculum using the student’s first language. Services are provided within the classroom. These positions work less than 15 hours per week and there are no benefits associated.

The ELL Program typically needs interpreters for Tagalog, Spanish, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, and Russian. Other languages are needed on occasion. If you speak a language other than the ones listed, you are encouraged to submit an application.

Language Interpreter Orientation meetings are held regularly to review the role and requirements for language interpreting in the schools. Interviews are scheduled with individual applicants at the end of the orientation.

Language Interpreter Orientation meetings are scheduled as needed throughout the school year. Please email [email protected] to sign up for a language interpreter orientation.

All meetings are held at the Administrative Center, 520 Fifth Avenue. Signs will be posted to direct you to the correct room.
