UCF Resource Management invites well qualified candidates to apply for the role of Manager, Warehouse I. This position is for all aspects of work in planning, organizing and directing the activities of the warehouse and receiving services for the Enterprise and Logistics unit of Facilities & Safety. Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Responsible for all aspects of work in planning, organizing and directing the activities of Central Receiving and warehouse services for Facilities and Safety. Oversees personnel, daily labor requirements, and daily equipment requirements.
Manages the warehouse receiving, processing and delivery schedule. Responsible for timely delivery of maintenance, repair, and operations supplies (MRO) to all campuses. Assists with the daily operation of Central Stores and the processing of Purchase Requests and Pick Tickets in the AiM computerized maintenance management system. Provides facilitation and logistical support for the unit including the daily selection and pulling of inventory items.
Assists with the daily operations of Central Stores and development of its annual budget and $3.5M in expenditures, accounting for approximately 45,000-line items purchased and dispersed per year, recommends financial strategies. Assists with the management of Central Stores inventory in excess of $1MM comprising more than 4,000 active inventory skews to include cycle counts, min-max level determinations, and annual inventory control counts. Assists with the Inventory and Purchasing modules of AiM (the computerized maintenance management system), to ensure resource maximization. Manages inputs, analyzes, and protects data including vendor, inventory, purchasing and issuance records.
Responsible for safe ad proper disposition and movement of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) and storage and disposition of non-current university records. Manages the logistical requirements, data and reporting tasks related to the storage of critical spares (parts), building maintenance attic stock, courtesy storage for university departments, architectural drawings and documents maintained in the warehouse plans storage areas.
Plays a key role in formulating SOP’s, recruiting, hiring, training, and managing personnel in order to accomplish the departments mission/vision. Creates and generates reports for management decision making and to ensure workplace efficiencies. Plays a key role in developing and recommending formal policies and procedures for F&S. Ensures safe practices within the warehouse to include; equipment use, handling of materials and use of PPE.
Manages the Receiving Database of all inbound shipments; Management of filing system(s) of receiving paperwork, Counter Releases and Purchase Disbursements. Manages the inventory control within the warehouse to include; cycle counts, proper and timely placement of stock to warehouse bin locations and year-end inventory.
Assists with data input and data maintenance for the Inventory and Purchasing modules for the AiM computerized maintenance management system to include entering and maintaining vendor records, entering and maintaining inventory records, and organizing inventory purchasing and issuance records for the development of management.
May be asked to act for other managers in the event of his/her absence. Serves as Essential Personnel in Emergency Services EDF-7 during emergency situations, Supports UC football Game essential functions. Assists other Facilities & Safety areas in times of personnel shortages or emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a University setting.
Management experience in a logistics role.
Familiar with best practices in the area of the disposition of state-owned surplus property as defined by Florida Statutes.
Strong communication skills.
